21 Oct 2007 - Junior Championship kicks off

The first two rounds of the Horsham Junior Chess Club's championship have taken place - currently leading the competition are Tristan Comley, Sam Spreadbury, Andrew Burling and last year's winner John Streamer, all tied on 2/2.  The winner will receive the Peter Alford Cup for a year.

Ian Groves and Kerem Ergene provided the first draw of the tournament in round 2 with a tricky stalemate - if only my opponents would fall for that.
